Tasting notes
The palate offers a rich, oily texture with pronounced coastal flavors such as iodine, smoked oysters, and brine, accompanied by a touch of petrol. Green, peppery nuances and crushed sea salt emerge, followed by a surge of fruity notes, primarily grapefruit and lime, alongside sweeter apple flavours. The profile remains clean, balancing tart and mineral elements effectively. The finish is long and focused, with forward-moving smoke, coastal salinity, and lingering fruity nuances, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and complexity.

This single cask release represents the pinnacle of Caol Ila's craft, matured for over three decades to develop remarkable richness and balance. At 51.5% ABV, the spirit delivers the full-bodied intensity that defines Islay whisky, with layers shaped by years of patient cask aging.
