Tasting notes
Here's a new wine from Mastroberardino, and what a charming beauty it is. The 2018 Greco di Tufo Riserva Stiléma takes advantage of new "Riserva" status and offers us a glimpse into the age-worthiness of Greco. This is a softly textured white wine with a mid-weight approach. The bouquet shows a filigree of lemon curd, pastry cream, saffron and wet stone.

About this wine
Mastroberardino's Stilèma Greco di Tufo Riserva DOCG represents one of Italy's most prestigious white wine traditions. Hailing from the volcanic slopes of Campania in southern Italy, this wine showcases the Greco grape at its finest, a variety with ancient roots in the region and a reputation for producing elegant, mineral-driven whites of considerable complexity and aging potential.
The Greco di Tufo DOCG appellation is renowned for its stony terroir and cool-climate conditions, which impart a distinctive saline character and bright acidity to the wine. Mastroberardino, a historic estate with generations of winemaking expertise, crafts this Riserva expression to balance creamy texture with crisp, citrus-forward aromatics and a medium-bodied structure. The result is a sophisticated white wine that expresses both the vineyard's volcanic minerality and the producer's commitment to classical winemaking.
This is an exceptionally versatile food wine, equally at home with shellfish and lobster as it is with fresh herb-driven pasta dishes, goat cheese, and green vegetable preparations. At 13.5% ABV, it offers refinement without excess alcohol, making it an ideal choice for refined dining aboard yachts, in private cellars, or at fine dining establishments.
