This area encompasses the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, along with the broader plains of the Veneto, where the Glera grape variety forms the foundation of Italy's most widely recognized sparkling wine style.
The Prosecco DOC represents the largest designation for Prosecco production, covering nine provinces across Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Wines from this appellation are typically produced using the Charmat method, where secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized tanks rather than individual bottles. This technique preserves the fresh, fruity characteristics of the Glera grape while creating the fine perlage that defines quality Prosecco. Bele Casel works exclusively with Glera grapes to produce their Prosecco, offering an Extra Dry style from the Asolo area within the broader Prosecco DOC zone.
