"Deep garnet-purple colour and a 100% Shiraz wine aged in predominately older oak, the 2010 The Factor reveals a stunningly beautiful nose of creme de cassis, plum pudding and blackberry coulis with intriguing flourishes of liquorice, dark chocolate, cloves and peppered salami. Big and voluptuously fruited in the full-bodied mouth, this is a full-on, complex Shiraz possessing a great foundation of firm, rounded tannins and an energized acid backbone to bring everything to a finish with outstanding length and harmony. Approachable now, it should drink best 2016 to 2028+." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Torbreck is an Australian winery on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley at Marananga. Founded by David Powell in 1994, the famous vineyard was named after a forest in Scotland where he spent time as a lumberjack. He honed his oenological skills at Rockford, the celebrated Barossa winery.
Year after year David has refined the style of his wines, remaining faithful to his inspiration of the Rhône valley, perfecting his yield of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro. The aim was to build one of the finest wine estates in the world and his vision was accomplished when the winery was named one of the World’s top 100 Wine Estates by Robert Parker.
“Every now and then, in life and in wine, we are presented with unique opportunities to express ourselves and create something truly remarkable. When these rare opportunities arise, we need to capture, nurture and develop them so that their potential is fulfilled.”Craig Isbel, Senior Winemaker
