Deep garnet red with purple hues, the wines high-toned aromas of black cherries, five spice, creme de cassis and lavender are supported by a rich core of roasted earth, liquorice, saddle leather and spice. The palate offers a soft latent richness and silken-like texture with subtle notes of dark cherries, plum and spice- all neatly wound by a taught spine of acidity and ripe supple tannins.

About this wine
Torbreck's Old Vines is a distinguished red blend from Australia's acclaimed Barossa Valley, crafted from Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre, three classic varieties that thrive in South Australia's warm climate. This wine exemplifies the producer's commitment to sourcing fruit from mature vineyards, capturing the complexity and depth that comes from established vines in this historic region.
The blend balances black fruit character with spicy and earthy notes, supported by soft, refined tannins and subtle liquorice undertones. At 13.5% ABV, it offers elegance and restraint, a sophisticated expression of Barossa terroir that drinks beautifully across a range of occasions. The wine's structure and flavor profile make it remarkably versatile at the table.
Pair this red with lamb, beef, duck, and game birds, or explore its compatibility with blue cheese, brie, and charcuterie boards. Grilled meats and vegetables also complement its character beautifully, making it an excellent choice for fine dining and entertaining at home.
