Luxardo Passione Nera is a dark Italian liqueur that resembles Sambuca . It is flavored with licorice, with a production recipe requiring several levels of successive infusions to mix the different ingredients.
The predominant taste is star anise. However, it is combined with a velvety sensation on the palate, with notes of light spices, cardamom, coriander and licorice. It is neither an ordinary licorice digestive, nor an ordinary coffee-sambuca.
