Tasting notes

Our 2022 Mâcon-Villages displays a pale yellow colour with green highlights. Its nose reveals aromas of white peach and a hint of muscatel. On the palate, it initially displays a lovely roundness accompanied by floral notes, then finishes with a pleasant mineral finish.

About this wine

Louis Latour's Mâcon Villages represents the pinnacle of white Burgundy value, a benchmark expression of Chardonnay from France's most celebrated wine region. Sourced from select vineyards across the Mâcon appellation in southern Burgundy, this wine showcases the minerality and elegance that define the terroir, with stone fruit character and subtle floral notes.

The Mâcon region is renowned for producing refined, food-friendly whites at exceptional quality levels. Louis Latour, a family-owned estate founded in 1797, brings generations of expertise to this cuvée, emphasizing traditional Burgundian winemaking that allows the Chardonnay grape and its terroir to speak clearly. At 13% alcohol with medium body and balanced acidity, this white wine is remarkably versatile at the table.

Pair this Chardonnay with roasted poultry, creamy pasta dishes, grilled seafood, or soft cheeses. Its mineral-driven profile and food-friendly structure make it an ideal selection for fine dining, intimate dinners, or casual gatherings, equally at home on a yacht, in a mountain chalet, or at a villa table.
