Koehler Ruprecht is a German winery based in the Pfalz region, one of Germany's largest and most diverse wine-producing areas. The Pfalz lies along the western edge of the Rhine Valley, benefiting from a relatively warm, dry climate that allows for extended growing seasons and the production of both dry and sweet wine styles.

The Pfalz region is particularly renowned for its Riesling production, where the grape variety expresses itself across a spectrum from bone-dry to intensely sweet dessert wines. The region's varied soils, ranging from limestone and sandstone to volcanic deposits, contribute to the complexity and mineral character found in Pfalz Rieslings.
