Isole e Olena is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. The estate has a rich history dating back to the 1950s when it was founded by the De Marchi family. Today, the estate is run by Paolo De Marchi, who has continued the family tradition of producing high-quality wines.

The estate covers over 290 hectares of land, with 49 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400-450 meters above sea level, which provides the perfect conditions for growing grapes. The soil is rich in clay and limestone, which gives the wines their unique character.

Isole e Olena produces a range of wines, including Chianti Classico, Vin Santo, and Syrah. The Chianti Classico is made from Sangiovese grapes, which are grown in the estate's vineyards. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months, which gives it a complex and elegant flavor. The Vin Santo is a sweet dessert wine made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes. The grapes are dried on straw mats for several months before being pressed and aged in small barrels for at least five years. The result is a rich and complex wine with notes of honey, caramel, and dried fruit. The Syrah is a full-bodied red wine with intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and spice. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months, which gives it a smooth and velvety texture.

Isole e Olena is known for its commitment to sustainable agriculture. The estate uses organic and biodynamic farming practices to ensure that the grapes are grown in a natural and healthy environment. The winery also uses solar panels to generate electricity and recycles water to reduce its environmental impact.

Overall, Isole e Olena is a top producer of high-quality wines from Tuscany. The estate's commitment to sustainable agriculture and traditional winemaking techniques has earned it a reputation as one of the best wine producers in Italy.

Italy's most ancient wine region, Tuscany may not be a heavyweight in terms of quantity, but as the home of two of the country's most famous fine wines – Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino – it certainly holds its own in terms of quality. Tuscany's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental deep in the Apennines. More than two thirds of the province is covered with hills, an important terroir factor in its fine wines.
