"A blend of 67% Shiraz (co-fermented with 6% Viognier), 17% Grenache and 10% Mataro, the 2018 Henry's Seven boasts aromas of boysenberries and blueberries. plus hints of dried spices. Matured in 5% new and 95% seasoned French hogsheads for nine months prior to blending and bottling, oak is a minor element, with the fruit flavors coming through loud and clear on the medium to full-bodied palate. It's supple and easy to drink, with a hint of stone fruit on the long and softly dusty finish." - Joe Czerwinski

Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer

Henschke is located in the Eden Valley in South Australia and is a remarkable vineyard steeped in history. Johann Christian Henschke settled on the farm over 165 years ago and began producing wine on the rich, red, brown earth. Stephen and Prue, a husband and wife team and the fifth generation, now manage the estate and produce one of the best Australian single vineyard Shiraz, Hill of Grace.

A unique, delineated, historic vineyard that lies opposite an old Lutheran church, which is named after a region in Silesia called Gnadenberg, meaning Hill of Grace. With vines dating back to 1860 and biodynamic vineyard management, Stephen and Prue are producing wines of intense colour and flavour.

Hill of Grace 2012 was awarded ‘Wine of the Year’ and ‘Best Shiraz’ by distinguished Australian wine critic James Halliday.

Wine has been a way of life in Barossa since 1842. Fast forward to today, and Barossa is home to more than 550 grape growing families, many with the sixth generation still working the same plot of land, supplying quality grapes to more than 170 wine companies.

The best Barossan wines sit comfortably alongside the great wines of the world. Barossa Shiraz and Eden Valley Riesling have led the way as regional heroes, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro, Grenache, Semillon and Fortifieds wines all contributing to Barossa's standing as one of the world's great wine regions.

Barossa incorporates both the Barossa Valley and Eden Valleys, making it one of the only wine regions in Australia to have neighbouring warm and cool climate growing conditions. With such a diversity of growing conditions and soil types across both valleys, and vineyards that have been tended by hand for many generations, you are bound to find a wine to call your own.
