Compared to the Balthasar bottling from the Eden Valley, this shows more vanilla on the nose and is plusher and rounder on the full-bodied palate. Marked by notes of plum, chocolate, and caramelised meat, it's rich and creamy on the mid-palate and finishes with ample length.

This full-bodied red is made from grapes grown on vines that are over 100 years old. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, giving it a complex and intense flavour profile. On the nose, the wine has aromas of dark fruit, spice, and earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with flavours of blackberry, plum, and dark chocolate. The tannins are well-integrated and the finish is long and lingering.
