Luminous pale gold with greenish highlights, this island-grown Vermentino opens with vibrant aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and sea-salted herbs, reflecting its coastal Gorgona terroir. On the palate, flavours of lemon zest, nectarine, and fennel frond are underpinned by a crisp, saline minerality. The texture is fresh and medium-bodied, with lively acidity carrying through to a clean, lingering finish of white almond and dried Mediterranean herbs.

Gorgona is produced by Frescobaldi on the island of Gorgona, Italy's smallest inhabited island and a working prison farm off the Tuscan coast. The wine carries Toscana IGT status and is built around Vermentino, a grape well suited to the island's maritime conditions.
Expect the coastal character typical of island-grown Vermentino: saline lift, citrus pith, and a clean, mineral-driven finish at a moderate 12.5% abv. On board, it works well alongside white fish, pasta with seafood or vegetables, charcuterie, and lighter tapas-style plates.
