Luminous gold in the glass with a subtle green hue, this Grand Cru offers an opulent yet precise bouquet of white peach, toasted brioche, hazelnut, and crushed limestone. On the palate, it is richly textured with a creamy mid-palate weight balanced by vibrant acidity. Notes of lemon curd, white flowers, and roasted almonds emerge, leading to an exceptionally long, mineral-driven finish with remarkable tension and depth.

About this wine
Etienne Sauzet's Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet comes from a small grand cru parcel adjoining Bâtard-Montrachet in Puligny-Montrachet, worked biodynamically. It is a Chardonnay from one of the Côte de Beaune's most prized white wine sites, made by a producer long associated with precise, terroir-driven Puligny whites.
Expect a wine of real intensity and cut, layering citrus and orchard fruit over a chalky, saline core, with the density expected of grand cru fruit. Serve at 12-14°C with shellfish, oily fish or aged cheeses, where its weight and acidity both have room to work.
