Pale gold with a luminous green tinge, this Pouilly-Fuissé opens with delicate aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and crushed limestone. On the palate, expect a refined interplay of ripe pear, toasted almond, and subtle vanilla, underpinned by the appellation's characteristic mineral tension. The texture is generous yet precise, with a lively acidity that keeps everything fresh and focused through a long, saline finish.

About this wine
Domaine Leflaive - Pouilly-Fuissé - En Vigneraie - 1er Cru
Domaine Leflaive's En Vigneraie is a Premier Cru Pouilly-Fuissé, a white Burgundy made from Chardonnay. It comes from the southern end of Burgundy, in the Mâconnais, where the appellation is known for fuller, more mineral Chardonnay than its northern neighbours.
Pale gold with a green tinge, it opens with white peach, citrus blossom and crushed limestone. The palate is ripe pear and toasted almond with a hint of vanilla. The texture is generous but precise, held in line by lively acidity. The finish is long and saline, and leaves the mouth fresh.
Chardonnay is the only grape here, so the character comes from the site and the hand of the producer. Pouilly-Fuissé's limestone-rich slopes give the wine its mineral tension, and the Premier Cru classification marks a vineyard ranked above the village level. At 13.5% alcohol, it has body without heaviness.
Serve it well chilled but not ice-cold, so the fruit and texture show. It suits white fish, chicken, pasta dishes and green vegetables, and it also stands up to charcuterie and cured meats.
