Pale gold with green glints, this Pouilly-Fuissé opens with aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and crushed chalk, layered with hints of acacia blossom and a touch of toasted hazelnut. The palate is poised and fresh, with ripe orchard fruit, citrus oil, and a subtle creamy texture from careful lees aging. Taut acidity and a saline, mineral thread give energy and precision through the mid-palate. The finish is long and clean, leaving echoes of lemon, almond, and wet stone.

About this wine
Domaine Leflaive - Pouilly-Fuissé
Domaine Leflaive's Pouilly-Fuissé is a dry white Burgundy made entirely from Chardonnay, grown in the Mâconnais in the south of the region. It sits at the more generous end of Burgundian Chardonnay without losing its poise.
Pale gold with green glints. The nose offers lemon zest, white peach and crushed chalk, with acacia blossom and a touch of toasted hazelnut behind. The palate is fresh and precise, with ripe orchard fruit, citrus oil and a subtle creaminess. Taut acidity and a saline, mineral thread run through to a long, clean finish of lemon, almond and wet stone.
Chardonnay is the only grape here, and Domaine Leflaive is the name behind it. The limestone and clay slopes of Pouilly-Fuissé typically give the variety ripe fruit alongside chalky tension, and that balance defines the style.
Serve well chilled. The acidity cuts through charcuterie and cured meats, and the wine suits pasta, green or grilled vegetables, and tofu and plant-based dishes.
