Tasting notes
Created by the Taittinger family in 1987. The 2018 Estate Brut is composed of 54% Pinot Noir and 46% Chardonnay, with a dosage of nine grams per liter. It comes across as riper and rounder than the Ultra Brut, with the citrus notes trending more toward tangerine and mandarin than lemon and lime. Medium-bodied, it's soft and approachable, easy to drink and enjoy.

About this sparkling wine
Domaine Carneros stands as a cornerstone of California sparkling wine production, crafting méthode traditionnelle wines in the heart of Napa Valley. Founded by the esteemed Champagne house Taittinger, the estate brings French winemaking expertise to premium American terroir, focusing on the two classic varieties that define world-class sparkling wines: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Brut expression showcases the elegance and precision Domaine Carneros is known for. A medium-bodied sparkling wine with balanced acidity and citrus-forward character, it reflects the cool-climate advantages of Napa Valley's premier vineyard sites. The blend demonstrates the house's commitment to consistency and refinement, delivering complexity without excessive alcohol, a hallmark of sophisticated sparkling wine craftsmanship.
Versatile at the table, this wine pairs beautifully with shellfish, crab, and lobster, while also complementing fresh herbs, green vegetables, and delicate cheeses like goat cheese. An aperitif of choice for discerning palates and an ideal selection for fine dining, yacht hospitality, and celebration-worthy occasions.
