Tasting notes
The 2021 Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard was fermented with 46% whole clusters, and the wine was matured in 35% new French oak for 18 months. It has broody aromas of black cherries, peppered salami, forest floor, potpourri and bitters. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with savoury, spicy layers. It's structured by powdery tannins and bright acidity and has a long, spicy finish. It will benefit from 3-5 years in bottle.

About this wine
Cristom Vineyards crafts elegant Pinot Noirs from Oregon's renowned Willamette Valley, a region celebrated for producing some of the finest expressions of this temperamental varietal in North America. The Marjorie represents the winery's commitment to terroir-driven winemaking, capturing the complexity and structure that define Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
This red wine embodies the spicy, bright character typical of the region's cool-climate conditions, with subtle forest floor notes and a well-balanced structure. At 13.5% ABV, it achieves elegant restraint while maintaining the depth and complexity that makes Oregon Pinot Noir distinctive. The wine's versatility extends to an impressive range of pairings: duck and game birds showcase its savory profile, while mushroom-based dishes and charcuterie highlight its earthy undertones. Fresh herbs and aromatic preparations further enhance its nuanced flavor expression, making it an ideal choice for refined dining.
Whether enjoyed in a fine dining setting or paired with carefully curated charcuterie aboard a private vessel, Cristom's Marjorie exemplifies the quality and sophistication that discerning collectors expect from premium Oregon Pinot Noir.
