Tasting notes

A wine that has been successful in the past is the 2013 Proprietary Red Cuvée 37.2, a blend of 83% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. This is pure seductiveness B dense purple in color, plenty of chocolate, espresso, black cherry and blackcurrant and Asian plum in a full-bodied, lush, heady, totally irresistible style. This may be the most successful Proprietary Red Cuvee 37.2 I’ve ever tasted from Coup de Foudre and it’s a big-time winner. Drink it over the next 7-10 years.

About this wine

Coup de Foudre's 37.2 Cuvee is a full-bodied red wine from California's prestigious Napa Valley, crafted from a sophisticated blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. This warming wine showcases the classic depth and complexity that defines world-class Napa Valley reds, with layers of red and black fruit character complemented by subtle coffee notes.

The blend balances Merlot's elegance with Cabernet Sauvignon's structure and Petit Verdot's rich tannin framework, creating a wine with excellent aging potential and versatility at the table. At 15.1% ABV, this cuvee delivers the intensity and richness expected from premium California winemaking.

The 37.2 Cuvee pairs beautifully with lamb, beef, and game birds, making it an exceptional choice for refined dining experiences. It also complements mushroom-based dishes, venison, and charcuterie selections, ideal for wine collections in fine residences, private clubs, and luxury yacht settings.
