Collard-Picard is a distinguished Champagne producer, founded through the union of two winemaking families with deep roots in the Champagne region of France. Olivier Collard and Caroline Picard, each bringing expertise and heritage from their respective family vineyards, established the house in the late 1990s. They are based in the village of Vertus, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs area, known particularly for its exceptional Chardonnay vines.

The house of Collard-Picard is renowned for its meticulous approach to Champagne production, favoring quality over quantity. They practice sustainable viticulture, ensuring that their methods preserve the integrity and health of their vineyards. The estate uses only the first press of grapes, known as the "cuvée," for all their champagnes, which contributes to the finesse and purity of their products.

Collard-Picard produces a range of Champagnes, from non-vintage to vintage, including both Blanc de Blancs (made entirely from Chardonnay) and blends of Chardonnay with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Their Champagnes are celebrated for their elegance, complexity, and the harmonious balance between intensity and freshness. These characteristics are a testament to the careful selection of grapes from their premier and grand cru vineyards, as well as their skillful winemaking and extended aging processes.

The philosophy at Collard-Picard emphasizes the expression of terroir and the artisanal craft of Champagne making, making their wines highly sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. Their commitment to tradition, combined with innovative techniques, ensures that each bottle of Collard-Picard Champagne offers a unique and memorable tasting experience.

In 1668, Dom Pérignon is said to have discovered how to make sparkling wine; today his technique is used the world over, although Champagne continues to make some of the finest. France’s most northerly wine region, Champagne is now home to 15,000 growers and 290 ‘houses’. A blend of grape varieties is usually required: white Chardonnay to add fruit and elegance, and two reds – Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – to provide body and backbone.
