One such producer is the Chateau de la Ragotière, located in the Muscadet appellation of the Loire Valley.

The Chateau de la Ragotière has a rich history dating back to the 14th century when it was first established as a fortified castle. Today, it is owned by the Guilbaud family who have been producing wines for five generations. The estate spans over 120 hectares and is known for its exceptional Muscadet wines, including their famous rosé.

The Muscadet appellation is located on the western edge of the Loire Valley, close to the Atlantic coast. The region's maritime climate and unique terroir of schist and gneiss soils create the perfect conditions for growing the Melon de Bourgogne grape, which is the main variety used in Muscadet wines. The Chateau de la Ragotière Rosé is made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes, which are hand-harvested and carefully selected before being gently pressed. The resulting wine is then aged on its lees for six months to enhance its complexity and roundness. The end result is a dry, crisp and refreshing rosé with delicate aromas of red fruits, citrus, and floral notes. On the palate, it is well-balanced with a lively acidity and a long, elegant finish.
