Composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Moulin Saint-Georges has a medium to deep garnet-purple color, rolling effortlessly out of the glass with notes of black cherry compote, blueberry preserves and ripe plum, plus touches of pencil shavings and fallen leaves. The medium-bodied palate is coated with crunchy black fruits, supported by a racy line and just enough textural friction, finishing long and savory.
Château Moulin Saint-Georges is a distinguished producer in Saint-Émilion, one of Bordeaux's most celebrated appellations. Located on the Right Bank, this estate benefits from the region's unique terroir, where limestone plateaus and clay-rich soils create ideal conditions for producing elegant, age-worthy red wines.
This Grand Cru expression showcases the classic blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, hallmarks of Saint-Émilion winemaking. The result is a medium-bodied, dry red wine with refined structure and balance. The Cabernet Franc contributes fresh acidity and subtle spice, while Merlot adds depth and rounded tannins, creating a harmonious whole that reflects both grape varieties and the estate's commitment to quality.
Versatile at the table, this wine pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, venison, and game birds, making it an ideal choice for fine dining and private entertaining. It also complements aged cheeses and grilled vegetables, offering flexibility across sophisticated menus in luxury settings from chalets to yachts.
