Bellavista - 'Teatro La Scala' Extra Brut- Franciacorta DOCG

Tasting notes
It is mainly produced with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. The wine ferments in oak barrels at controlled temperature for about 7 months, thus making the overall balance perfect and exalting.

This Brut is characterised by a bright gold coloUr with light green shades. The nose opens with dominant floral hints of hawthorn, mugwort and bay leaf, enriched with pleasant aromas of white berry fruits that give harmony and olfactory sweetness. On the palate it is elegant and dry, with a harmonious and balanced acidity.

    Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer

Bellavista is recognised for making some of the best sparkling wines in Italy and this success partly comes from the direction of their Head Winemaker, Mattia Vezzolla. He was honoured as “Oenologist of the year” by the Italian guide “Gambero Rosso-Slow Food” in 2007 for his key contribution in developing the Franciacorta DOCG.

The winery was established in 1977 in Franciacorta (which literally means ‘short France’) by Vittorio Moretti, who also owns Contadi Castaldi in the same region, and Petra and Tenuta La Badiola in Maremma. Today, Bellavista owns 195 hectares of land covering almost 10% of Franciacorta producing around 1,150,000 bottles a year.
