Bellavista - 'Pas Opere Millesimato' - Franciacorta DOCG

Tasting notes
Pas Operé was born from the union of about forty selections from the company's historic plots, from vineyards over thirty years of age, and it is the Bellavista cuvée that most of all expresses the concepts of classicism and tradition. It has a warm golden coloUr, an intense foam and a fine and continuous perlage, on the nose it smells of honey, chamomile, apple and Mediterranean herbs, in the mouth it is full and dry, with a long fruity finish. The low sugar content due to the absence of dosage allows you to fully appreciate naturalness and purity, revealing the mastery of the cellar, the quality of the grapes, delighting palates who prefer a particularly dry taste.

    Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer

Bellavista is recognised for making some of the best sparkling wines in Italy and this success partly comes from the direction of their Head Winemaker, Mattia Vezzolla. He was honoured as “Oenologist of the year” by the Italian guide “Gambero Rosso-Slow Food” in 2007 for his key contribution in developing the Franciacorta DOCG.

The winery was established in 1977 in Franciacorta (which literally means ‘short France’) by Vittorio Moretti, who also owns Contadi Castaldi in the same region, and Petra and Tenuta La Badiola in Maremma. Today, Bellavista owns 195 hectares of land covering almost 10% of Franciacorta producing around 1,150,000 bottles a year.
