Tasting notes

The 2020 Les Enfants Terribles Syrah from Jean-Luc Aegerter is a vibrant and expressive red, showcasing the sun-drenched character of the Pays d’Oc region in southern France. Deep ruby with purple highlights, hinting at its youthful energy. Aromas burst from the glass with ripe blackberries, black cherries, and plum compote, followed by layers of peppery spice, violet, and a touch of smoky garrigue. Medium to full-bodied with soft tannins and juicy acidity. Flavours of dark fruits dominate, supported by notes of black olive, liquorice, and a subtle earthy undertone. Smooth and generous, with a spicy, slightly savoury finish that lingers nicely.
