Spicy and luxurious The mature, deep, spicy one: a deeper Sherry influence adds more spiciness and a liquorice tang. Greater age adds body and develops the distinctive fruitiness to a rich raisin character. Auburn gold colour. Rich and complex nose with notes of toffee and butterscotch combine with ripe peach and bitter orange. Perfect structure. Initial notes of soft apricot and cream are offset by developing flavours of blackcurrant jam and sweet oak with a touch of honey. Very long and balanced finish, progresses from crème brûlée to a gentle oak flourish.

Ingredients
- 60 ml Aberlour - 18 yrs
- 20 ml sweet vermouth
- 10 ml Benedictine
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Orange twist for garnish
Method
- Fill a mixing glass with ice. - Add Aberlour - 18 yrs, sweet vermouth, Benedictine, and Angostura bitters. - Stir gently for 20 seconds. - Strain into a chilled coupe glass. - Garnish with an orange twist.
Serve
A coupe glass with a rich amber cocktail, garnished with an orange twist on the rim.
