Chateau Fourcas Dupre is a renowned wine producer located in the prestigious Bordeaux region of France. This historic estate has been producing exceptional wines since the 18th century and has established itself as a leading producer in the Haut-Medoc appellation.
The estate was founded by the Dupre family in 1843 and was named after the original owner, Jean Dupre. In 1844, the chateau was built and the first wines were produced, quickly gaining recognition for their quality and distinctive style. In 1862, the estate was sold to the Lurton family, who still own and operate it to this day.
The chateau sits on a hill overlooking the Gironde estuary, providing ideal conditions for grape growing. The estate covers 90 hectares of land, with 46 hectares dedicated to vineyards. The flagship wine, Chateau Fourcas Dupre, Haut-Medoc, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, and is known for its elegant and refined style.
