Nyetimber

Nyetimber is a renowned wine producer located in the beautiful region of West Sussex, England. Founded in 1988 by Stuart and Sandy Moss, Nyetimber has become one of the most celebrated and respected producers of English sparkling wine, often referred to as the "pioneers of English sparkling wine".

The Nyetimber vineyards cover over 170 hectares of prime land across Sussex, Hampshire and Kent, all of which are dedicated to producing the finest quality grapes for their wines. The unique terroir of the region, with its cool, maritime climate and chalky soils, is ideal for growing the classic Champagne grapes of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, which are used in Nyetimber's traditional method sparkling wines.

Nyetimber's commitment to producing only the highest quality wines is evident in their use of traditional winemaking methods, including hand-harvesting and hand-sorting of the grapes. The grapes are then gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks, before undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle, where the wine develops its signature bubbles.

The flagship wine of Nyetimber is their Classic Cuvee, a blend of all three Champagne grapes. This wine has won numerous awards and accolades, including being named "Best Sparkling Wine in the World" at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2016. Other notable wines in their range include the Blanc de Blancs, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, and the Rosé, a refreshing and elegant blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Nyetimber's dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility is also noteworthy. They have implemented sustainable farming practices and have achieved certification from the Sustainable Winegrowing UK scheme. They also have a commitment to reducing their carbon footprint by using lightweight bottles and investing in renewable energy sources.
