Nals Margreid is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of the Alto Adige region in Italy. Founded in 1985, this winery has quickly established itself as one of the top producers in the region, known for its exceptional quality and dedication to crafting wines that truly represent the unique terroir of the area.
The Alto Adige region, also known as South Tyrol, is located in the northernmost part of Italy, bordering Austria and Switzerland. This region is characterized by its breathtaking alpine landscapes, with steep mountains and valleys, and a climate that is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean and continental climates. These diverse climatic conditions, combined with the unique soil composition of the region, create the ideal environment for growing a variety of grape varietals.
Nals Margreid is situated in the municipality of Nals, which is located in the Adige Valley, a prime location for wine production in Alto Adige. The winery is surrounded by stunning vineyards, with some of the oldest vines in the region, some dating back to the 1930s. The combination of old vines and the perfect climate and soil creates the ideal conditions for producing high-quality, concentrated grapes.
Nals Margreid is committed to sustainable and eco-friendly viticulture practices, with a focus on preserving the natural balance of the land. The winery uses modern techniques, such as precision viticulture, combined with traditional methods to ensure that each grape is of the highest quality. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected to ensure that only the best fruit is used in the winemaking process.
The winery produces a range of wines, including white, red, and sparkling wines, all of which showcase the unique characteristics of the Alto Adige region. Some of their most notable wines include Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Lagrein. The wines are elegant, complex, and well-balanced,
