Maison Chape
Maison Chapelle is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, France. This family-owned and operated winery has been producing exceptional wines for generations, earning a reputation for excellence and consistency in the region.
The Maison Chapelle estate covers over 15 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the appellations of Gevrey-Chambertin and Vougeot. The vineyards are planted with Pinot Noir, the signature grape of Burgundy, as well as Chardonnay for their white wines. The unique terroir of the Côte de Nuits, with its limestone and clay soils, coupled with the cool climate and ideal sun exposure, allows for the production of high-quality grapes that are the foundation of Maison Chapelle's exceptional wines.
The winemaking philosophy at Maison Chapelle is centered on respect for tradition and the land. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure only the best quality fruit is used in the winemaking process. The grapes are then vinified using traditional methods, with a focus on minimal intervention to allow the true expression of the terroir to shine through in the final product.
Maison Chapelle produces a range of wines, from their entry-level Bourgogne Rouge and Blanc to their highly sought-after Grand Cru wines. Their flagship wine, the Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Les Cazetiers," is a perfect example of the Maison's commitment to quality and excellence. This wine is a blend of grapes from three different plots within the Les Cazetiers vineyard, resulting in a complex and elegant wine with notes of red fruits, spices, and a long, lingering finish.
In addition to their exceptional wines, Maison Chapelle also offers a range of spirits, including their popular Marc de Bourgogne, a brandy made from the skins and seeds of the grapes used in their wines. This traditional spirit is aged in
Maison Chape
Maison Chape is a French wine producer based in the Picpoul de Pinet appellation, located within the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The appellation sits on the western shore of the Étang de Thau, a coastal lagoon near the town of Pézenas, and is one of the few appellations in the Languedoc dedicated entirely to a single white grape variety.
Picpoul de Pinet produces dry white wines exclusively from the Picpoul Blanc grape. The variety's name, often translated as "lip-stinger", references its naturally high acidity, which is a defining characteristic of wines made from it. The proximity to the Mediterranean and the influence of the lagoon create a maritime microclimate that reinforces this freshness, making Picpoul de Pinet a style particularly well-suited to seafood, including the oysters and mussels cultivated in the Étang de Thau itself.
Maison Chape's current range includes the Acord Parfait, a 2024 Picpoul de Pinet that reflects the appellation's characteristic approach: a single-varietal white wine built around the grape's signature citrus-driven profile and bright acidity.
