Pedralonga is a family-owned winery located in the stunning region of Rias Baixas in Galicia, Spain. This small but highly regarded producer has been creating exceptional wines since 1997, with a focus on traditional winemaking techniques and a deep respect for the land.
The region of Rias Baixas is known for its cool, maritime climate and unique terroir, making it the perfect location for producing high-quality white wines. The winery is situated in the picturesque village of Adina, where the landscape is characterized by rolling hills, lush greenery, and the nearby Atlantic Ocean. This idyllic setting provides the ideal conditions for growing the Albariño grape, which is the signature varietal of the region.
Pedralonga is committed to sustainable and organic farming practices, with all of their vineyards certified as organic since 2010. This dedication to preserving the environment and the health of their vines is reflected in the purity and intensity of their wines. The winery also follows biodynamic principles, further enhancing the expression of their terroir in each bottle.
The wines of Pedralonga are a true reflection of their unique location and the hard work of the dedicated family behind the brand. The Albariño grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to ensure only the best fruit is used for production. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, allowing the true character of the grapes to shine through. The resulting wines are elegant, vibrant, and full of character, with a distinct minerality and a refreshing acidity that makes them a perfect match for the local seafood dishes.
In addition to their flagship Albariño, Pedralonga also produces a limited number of bottles of their premium wine, the Fento. This wine is made from a blend of Albariño and Treixadura grapes and is aged in French oak barrels, adding complexity and depth to the final product.
