Francois Cotat

François Cotat is a small family winemaker based in Chavignol, a hamlet within the Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley. The domaine produces Sauvignon Blanc wines from vineyard holdings in this historic white wine region.

Sancerre is known for producing Sauvignon Blancs with distinctive mineral character, shaped by its three soil types: limestone (calcaire), clay-limestone (caillottes), and flint (terre blanche).
