Located in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Italy, lies the renowned wine producer, Tenuta San Guido. This family-owned winery has been crafting exceptional wines for over 50 years and has become a symbol of quality and tradition in the world of winemaking.

Tenuta San Guido is located in the DOC Bolgheri appellation, known for its ideal climate and soil conditions for producing world-class wines. The estate covers over 2,500 hectares of land, with only 80 hectares dedicated to vineyards, ensuring the highest quality grapes are used in their wines.

The estate is best known for its iconic wine, Sassicaia, which is considered the first Super Tuscan. This groundbreaking wine was created in the 1940s by the estate's founder, Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who was inspired by the great wines of Bordeaux. He planted Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc on his estate and produced the first vintage of Sassicaia in 1968, which received immediate critical acclaim.

Today, Sassicaia is still the flagship wine of Tenuta San Guido and is recognized as one of the best wines in the world, earning the prestigious title of "Premier Grand Cru" in the Liv-Ex classification of fine wines. It is a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barrels for 24 months. The result is a rich, complex wine with intense aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and spices, and a long, elegant finish.

In addition to Sassicaia, Tenuta San Guido produces a range of other wines, including Guidalberto, Le Difese, and the rare and highly sought-after Supertuscan, Masseto. Each wine is crafted with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality, making them all standouts in their own right.
