Marisa Cuomo

Marisa Cuomo is a renowned wine producer situated on the stunning Amalfi Coast in Italy. The winery is located in the small town of Furore, perched high up on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This unique location not only provides a breathtaking backdrop for the winery, but also plays a crucial role in shaping the character and quality of their wines.

The winery was founded in 1980 by Andrea Cuomo, who was determined to revive the ancient winemaking traditions of the Amalfi Coast. He was joined by his wife Marisa, who brought her own passion and expertise to the winemaking process. Together, they have created a family-run business that has gained international recognition for their exceptional wines.

The Amalfi Coast is a challenging region for winemaking, with steep terraced vineyards and a rugged, rocky terrain. However, this also provides the perfect conditions for growing high-quality grapes with intense flavors. The winery's vineyards are planted on the cliffs, facing the sea, which allows for optimal sun exposure and ventilation, resulting in beautifully ripened grapes.

Marisa Cuomo produces a range of wines, including whites, reds, and rosés, all of which reflect the unique terroir of the Amalfi Coast. Their flagship wine, the Furore Bianco Fiorduva, is a blend of local grapes such as Falanghina, Biancolella, and Per'E Palummo, which are hand-harvested and carefully selected to ensure only the best grapes are used. This wine is characterized by its intense aromas of tropical fruits, wildflowers, and a distinct minerality, making it a perfect pairing with seafood dishes.

Another standout wine from Marisa Cuomo is the Furore Rosso Riserva, a red wine made from Aglianico and Piedirosso grapes. This wine is aged for at least two years in oak barrels, giving it complex flavors of dark fruits
