Onshore Cellars is proud to offer a wide selection of wines from the renowned wine producer, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Located in the Burgundy region of France, this esteemed winery is known for producing some of the most sought-after and highly rated wines in the world.

The history of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti dates back to the 13th century when the monks of the Abbey of Saint-Vivant de Vergy first planted grapes on the land. However, it wasn't until the mid-19th century when the domaine gained its current name and reputation under the ownership of the de Villaine and Leroy families. Today, the estate is owned by the de Villaine family and managed by Aubert de Villaine, who is considered one of the most influential figures in the wine world.

The domaine is situated in the Côte de Nuits sub-region of Burgundy, which is known for producing some of the finest Pinot Noir wines in the world. Within this sub-region, there is a small area called the Côte de Nuits Grand Cru, which is home to the most prestigious vineyards, including the famous Romanée-Conti vineyard. This vineyard is the source of the domaine's flagship wine, the Romanée-Conti Grand Cru, which is considered one of the most expensive and sought-after wines in the world.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is known for its dedication to quality and tradition. The estate follows strict biodynamic practices and produces all of its wines using traditional methods, including hand-harvesting and minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
