Auntsfield Estate is a renowned wine producer located in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. The estate has a rich history dating back to 1873 when it was first established by David Herd, a Scottish immigrant. The estate was named after Herd's two aunts who helped him purchase the land.

Auntsfield Estate is known for its exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, which is produced using traditional winemaking techniques. The grapes are handpicked and sorted before being gently pressed to extract the juice. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a cool temperature to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors of the grapes.

In addition to Sauvignon Blanc, Auntsfield Estate also produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a Bordeaux-style blend called "Heritage." The Pinot Noir is grown on the estate's clay soils, which impart a unique character to the wine. The Chardonnay is fermented in French oak barrels, which adds complexity and richness to the wine. The Heritage blend is a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec, which are grown on the estate's gravelly soils.

Auntsfield Estate is committed to sustainable winemaking practices and has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. The estate uses natural pest control methods, such as planting cover crops and encouraging biodiversity, to reduce the need for pesticides. The estate also uses solar panels to generate electricity and has implemented a rainwater harvesting system to reduce its water usage.

Overall, Auntsfield Estate is a top producer of high-quality wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Marlborough region. The estate's commitment to sustainable winemaking practices and traditional winemaking techniques make it a standout producer in the New Zealand wine industry.
