Aberlour

Aberlour is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the village of Aberlour, on the banks of the River Lour in Speyside, Scotland. The distillery draws water from Ben Rinnes and operates within one of Scotland's most densely concentrated whisky-producing regions. Speyside is home to more distilleries than any other Scottish region and is generally associated with a particular style of single malt.

Speyside whiskies are characterised by their relatively approachable, often fruit-forward profiles, with notes of orchard fruit, dried fruit, and spice being common across the region. Aberlour places particular emphasis on cask maturation, using a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry oak, the latter contributing darker fruit, toffee, and warming spice notes that are a hallmark of the distillery's house style. Double cask maturation is central to how Aberlour develops its whiskies.

The range includes an age-stated 10 year old expression as well as Casg Annamh, a Gaelic phrase meaning "rare cask." Casg Annamh is a batch-release bottling finished in first-fill oloroso sherry casks, which gives it a richer, more pronounced sherry influence compared to core range expressions.
