Antao Vag

Antão Vaz is a white grape variety native to the Alentejo region of southern Portugal, where it has been cultivated for generations. The variety thrives in the warm, dry climate of this inland area, where it benefits from the intense sunshine and well-drained soils characteristic of the region. Its origins are specifically tied to Alentejo, where it remains one of the more significant white varieties.

The wines produced from Antão Vaz are typically dry and full-bodied, with moderate to good acidity that balances the grape's natural ripeness. The aromatic profile tends toward stone fruits, citrus, and herbal notes, with mineral undertones.
