Thierry owns seven-hectares of vines, which he farms organically, in Burgundy, spread over the four communes of Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Couchey and Daix, with nearly 10 different appellations, several in Premier Cru. From a wine-making family, Thierry inherited his land in 1992 when his parents retired and split their holdings between their sons, Thierry and Denis. Since then, Thierry has earned himself a reputation for producing wines which offer a fantastic expression of terroir, whilst allowing varietal fruit flavours to shine through by respectful winemaking and mineral intervention.
Producing just 30,000 bottles a year, Thierry makes his wines slightly reductively, giving them a linear structure and pure driven finish. The average age of the vines is 35 years old, the majority planted with Pinot Noir, although some Chardonnay is also planted for the Bourgogne Blanc.
