Château La Fleur Petrus

During those early years, the wines were sold under the name Petrus Lafleur. It was under the ownership of the Pineau family that the name was changed to Chateau La Fleur Petrus. By 1953, the property was sold to Jean Pierre Moue, becoming a part of the négoçiant house Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix which also owns Château Trotanoy. The estate was enlarged with the acquisition of vines from Château Le Gay in 1994.

Owned by Jean Pierre Moueix, who also owns Pétrus and Trotanoy, Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a 9 ha vineyard on a plateau east of Pomerol sitting between Lafleur and Pétrus. The vineyard is planted with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc on soils that are rich in gravel. The resulting wines are elegant, smooth and refined and amongst the finest wines in Pomerol.
