Almaviva's second wine, Epu comes from young vines from the Puente Alto terroir and vineyard. It offers a ripe and heady nose, soft acidity and intense notes of red pepper, blackberry, blackcurrant, and spices from the oak. Coming from a cooler than average vintage, this 2021 is remarkable for its balance. Medium to full-bodied with velvety, more polished tannins, it is delicate and less concentrated, with plenty of finesse, making it more approachable when young. This generous wine is a perfect introduction to the exclusive and harmonious world of Almaviva.
