Tasting notes
Bright and expressive on the nose with fresh citrus blossom, green apple, and zesty lemon peel, underscored by delicate white peach and a characteristic mineral, almost flinty quality typical of the Gavi terroir. On the palate, the wine is crisp and refreshing with vibrant acidity, offering flavours of pear, lime zest, and subtle almond. The finish is clean, elegant, and pleasantly saline, with a lasting stony minerality.

About this wine
Villa Sparina is one of the more respected names in Gavi, working with Cortese grown in the Monterotondo subzone of Piedmont. Gavi DOCG is the benchmark appellation for this grape, and Villa Sparina's version is a reliable expression of what the denomination does well.
Cortese at this level is lean and precise: citrus pith, white stone fruit, a mineral thread, and lively acidity that keeps the palate fresh. At 13% ABV it has enough body to hold its own. Serve it well chilled alongside shellfish, white fish, pasta with light cream or herb sauces, or antipasti boards on deck.
