Tasting notes
Dried fruit, orange peel and warm ginger on the nose, with polished oak behind. The palate is rich and rounded: raisin, treacle and cocoa, a little baking spice. At 43% it stays supple, finishing long and gently drying with a warming glow.

About this whisky
The Macallan - 18 yrs - Sherry Oak - 2026 Release
The Macallan makes this 18-year-old Sherry Oak whisky in Speyside, Scotland. Bottled at 43% abv, it is a Scotch in the rich Sherry Oak style, suited to a slow pour at the end of dinner.
The nose opens on dried fruit, orange peel and warm ginger, with polished oak behind. The palate is rich and rounded: raisin, treacle and cocoa, with a little baking spice. At 43% it stays supple, finishing long and gently drying, with a warming glow.
The depth comes from the Sherry Oak character: dried-fruit sweetness, spice and a gentle, drying grip of oak. Speyside is known for rounded, fruit-led whisky, and this sits squarely within that tradition.
Serve it neat, with a little water, or over ice. For something longer, the Macallan 18 Sherry Oakspresso Martini puts it to work in an espresso martini. At the table, pour it with aged or blue cheese and roasted nuts, or alongside chocolate, caramel and fruit-based desserts.
