Tasting notes

It unfurls in the glass with a complex bouquet of crisp pear, freshly baked bread and white flowers, mingling with roasted pineapple, caramelised sugar and a deft touch of smoky reduction. On the palate, it is full-bodied, muscular, ample and textural, with a simultaneously generous but elegant expression of fruit underpinned by succulent yet vibrant acidity and concluding with a long, saline finish tinged with toast. Concentrated but harmonious, it is dangerously drinkable now yet promises a long window of pleasure.

About this sparkling wine

Piper-Heidsieck's Rare Brut Millesime represents a refined expression of Champagne winemaking excellence. This prestigious house, with centuries of tradition in the Champagne region, crafts a sophisticated sparkling wine from a carefully selected blend of Champagne varieties. The result is a wine that balances elegance with complexity, delivering a fresh, vibrant character that reflects the chalky terroir of France's most celebrated wine region.

This Champagne blend showcases the hallmark qualities that define Piper-Heidsieck's philosophy: precision, finesse, and a commitment to quality. The wine's crisp acidity and layered profile make it exceptionally versatile at the table. Serve it as an aperitif or pair it with a diverse range of cuisines, from delicate shellfish, crab, and lobster to sushi and sashimi, fresh salads, and citrus-based dishes. It also complements cheese courses featuring Comté and Parmesan, and pairs beautifully with tapas and small plates.
