The 2007 Colheita Tawny Port was bottled March 22, 2021, with 120 grams of residual sugar and a long cork. This is Romaneira's first Colheita of the 21st century. Welcome to the new millennium, Romaneira. Sturdy and deep, this concentrated Tawny goes for the big hit of molasses. The wood flavors are prominent too, and this seems completely classic in its style. The power is not quite as exceptional as the fruit profile and the concentration, but this is impressive nonetheless and quite delicious. Finesse is not the strong point, but the rest is pretty great for a young Colheita. As I always note, Tawnies like this can hold a reasonable time, barring cork failures, but it is not really meant to be held, and it is ready on release, as they all are.
