The organic Monteverro 2020 Chardonnay offers a soft and supple character with orchard fruit, quince, pear and mild spice. This wine has a Burgundian quality, especially in terms of mouthfeel and texture, but it reveals its Italian roots thanks to the electric and vibrant notes of citrus and Mediterranean herbs that also appear
From the first sip, the wine boasts balance and elegance, and there is a bright end note that will appeal to both fans and foes of oak-aged Chardonnay. Creamy flavors of orchard fruit, nectarine, honey and almond wrap smoothly over the palate. A bright hint of acidity adds momentum and energy. This wine marries the best of Chardonnay with the best of sunny southern Tuscany.
With a rich and complex palate, the 2018 Chardonnay evokes fragrant and intense aromas typical of a pâtisserie françaises and at the same time unfolding its fresh and mineral texture in an endless crescendo.

Monteverro is a renowned wine producer located in the Maremma region of Tuscany, Italy. The winery was founded in 2003 by Georg Weber, a German entrepreneur who fell in love with the beauty of the Tuscan landscape and the potential of its terroir. Monteverro is known for its high-quality wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the region and the passion of its winemakers.

The vineyards of Monteverro are located on the hillsides of the Maremma, where the soil is rich in minerals and the climate is ideal for growing grapes. The winery produces a range of red and white wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Chardonnay. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure the highest quality of the final product.

Monteverro's winemaking philosophy is based on a deep respect for the environment and a commitment to sustainable practices. The winery uses organic and biodynamic methods to cultivate the grapes, and the wines are made with minimal intervention to preserve their natural flavours and aromas. The result is a range of wines that are elegant, complex, and full of character.

Monteverro's flagship wine is the Monteverro Toscana, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. This wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and has a deep ruby colour, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Another notable wine from Monteverro is the Chardonnay, which is made from grapes grown on the highest slopes of the vineyard. This wine is fermented in French oak barrels and aged for 12 months, resulting in a wine that is rich and creamy, with notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, and toasted oak.

Monteverro is a producer that is committed to excellence in winemaking, and its wines are a testament to the passion and dedication of its team. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a casual drinker, Monteverro's wines are sure to impress with their quality, complexity, and unique character.

Italy's most ancient wine region, Tuscany may not be a heavyweight in terms of quantity, but as the home of two of the country's most famous fine wines – Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino – it certainly holds its own in terms of quality. Tuscany's climate ranges from Mediterranean on the coast to continental deep in the Apennines. More than two thirds of the province is covered with hills, an important terroir factor in its fine wines.
