Pale lemon-yellow colour. Fresh nectarine, lime and pungent brown spices on the nose. Juicy and just off-dry, with lovely intensity and lift to the apple, spice and floral flavours. Very subtle use of oak. A lovely chardonnay for the price.
José Conde and brothers Tyrrel and Philip Myburgh, started making wine together in 2001. Further supported by a group of dedicated grape growers from the Agter-Paarl region.
Their first 300 cases made in a tractor shed, and have grown to producing over 175 000 cases per year and exporting to 25 countries. Their biggest selling wines are chenin blanc and cabernet sauvignon, but the area is also well known for shiraz and pinotage.
