Tasting notes
The 2014 Romanee St Vivant les Quatre Journaux Grand Cru has a clean and quite pure red cherry, wild strawberry and dried orange peel scented bouquet that will clearly need a couple more years to fully get into its stride. The palate is medium bodied with quite bold, rounded tannin. There is good weight in the mouth.

About this wine
The 2013 Romanée St. Vivant Les Quatre Journaux Grand Cru displays more noticeable oak than the Follin-Arbelet Romanée St. Vivant, though plenty of fruit shines through. More floral in character, it currently reflects the imprint of its winemaking. The palate is medium-bodied, offering sappy red fruit and a gentle grip, though a touch more structure on the finish would be welcome. Nevertheless, it remains undeniably well-balanced, with impressive length on the palate.
