This Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru is very pretty, with a character that reflects its origins high up the slope of the Combe Lavaux. Aromas of plums, sweet red berries, cherries and rose petals waft from the glass. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, fleshy yet ethereal, with lovely purity of fruit. The finish is long and mineral.
Red cherry, wild strawberry and a whisper of dried rose on the nose. The palate is silky yet structured, with fine tannins, a savoury earthiness and bright acidity typical of Gevrey-Chambertin. Finish is long, mineral and elegantly persistent.
