This wine is a blend made from three vineyards within the appellation of Morgon: Côte du Py, Bellevue and Roche Noire. They are planted on pink granite or diorite: the blue rock landmark of Côte du Py. The depth and alteration of these soils vary from one vineyard to another. This Morgon individual character originates from the rich volcanic soils on which it grows. Although firm and powerful, the tannins show the Gamay typical suppleness. This deep wine with violet aromas will perfectly match all sorts of dishes with great personality.
Louis Jadot is a renowned French winery, established in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. The winery is located in Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy, and is renowned for its production of high-quality wines. The winery is also renowned for its Château des Jacques, a family-run winery located in the Morgon region of Beaujolais. The winery produces a range of wines, from light and fruity Beaujolais Nouveau to full-bodied and complex Morgon. The wines are made from Gamay grapes, grown in the Morgon region, and are aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months.
The Morgon wines produced by Château des Jacques are renowned for their intense aromas and flavors. The wines are full-bodied and complex, with notes of dark fruits, spices, and earthy tones. The wines are well-balanced, with a long finish and a pleasant acidity. The wines are best enjoyed with food, and can be cellared for up to 10 years.
