Tasting notes

The 2018 Kings Farm Red Wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the vineyards around the winery high up on the Western rim of Napa Valley above Oakville. This blend was selected for its classic aromas of cassis, blueberry, and cedar reminiscent of Bordeaux. The long finish is supported by the fine silky tannins which are already well resolved after two years in barrel and two more years in bottle. This delicate beauty is ready to enjoy.

About this wine

Kongsgaard's Kings Farm Red is a sophisticated Napa Valley blend that showcases the producer's commitment to elegant winemaking in California's premier wine region. Crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine balances dark fruit character with refined structure, delivering a silky mouthfeel and distinctive cedar notes that linger on the palate. The medium-plus alcohol content provides depth without overshadowing the wine's graceful composition.

Kongsgaard has established itself as a thoughtful steward of Napa Valley terroir, focusing on quality and balance rather than extraction. Kings Farm Red reflects this philosophy, a wine designed for discerning palates who appreciate nuance alongside substance. Its versatility at the table makes it an excellent choice for fine dining settings, pairing beautifully with roasted meats, herb-crusted lamb, and aged cheeses. Whether enjoyed in a villa cellar, yacht cabin, or intimate dinner setting, this Napa Valley red offers the sophistication and refinement expected by those with elevated taste.
